Authentic Tiffany Studios Lamps Wanted

If you're looking for a buyer for your antique Tiffany Lamp, you've definitely come to the right place!

We represent dozens of private buyers, who pay top dollar for high quality, authentic, antique Tiffany lamps. These folks are serious collectors of Tiffany Studios lamps of all sizes and designs. They're not looking for Tiffany "Style" Lamps or cheap reproductions...they want the real thing.

Is it Real?

Determining the authenticity of a Tiffany piece, be it a lamp or art glass, is not a task for the untrained eye. Many reproductions in the Tiffany "style" and outright fakes have been made over the years. Some of these forgeries are good enough to fool experienced collectors, lamp dealers and auction houses. Tiffany "style" lamps have been around since the time Tiffany Studios was making them and are still being made today. High end reproductions are often made using old glass, and forgeries will go so far as to include the same markings as the originals. It takes a highly trained, expert eye to tell the difference.

The Tiffany "Wisteria" pattern lamp shade, with both irregular upper and lower borders, is one of the most sought after and valuable of all the designs Tiffany Studios ever produced. As with most of his floral shades, Louis C. Tiffany originals come in various color combinations--from beautifully and intricately cut and positioned pale pastels, to rich, deep colored hues.

Two of the lamps pictured below, are good quality reproductions. One is an authentic Tiffany Studios lamp. Can you spot the real antique Tiffany lamp?

Price guides and books cannot replace training and experience. Nor can they authenticate and accurately price a Tiffany Studios lamp, window or art glass piece. They’re meant only, as their name implies, to setup guidelines and examples.

Let's see if we can't make it a little simpler for you...here are three more lamp samples. Again, only one is an authentic Tiffany Studios Lamp. Can you spot the original in this group?

If you said the middle lamp was the real Tiffany, you're correct. In real life, just as in this second example, it helps to have someone who can make things simpler for you.
